Marriagetoxin is one of the most unusual and entertaining anime of 2026, combining assassin action, romantic comedy, and high-stakes family pressure into a story that feels both chaotic and surprisingly heartfelt. Based on the manga by Joumyaku and Mizuki Yoda, the series follows Hikaru Gero, a poison specialist from one of the most powerful assassin families, who is told that if he does not produce an heir, his younger sister will be forced into marriage and childbearing against her will. To protect her, Hikaru makes an unexpected request to Mei Kinosaki, a brilliant marriage scammer and one of his assassination targets, asking him to help him get married. The anime adaptation premiered in April 2026 and is produced by Bones Film. Because the series blends action, comedy, romance, gender-performance humor, and clan politics, it is a great subject for a quiz. Fans can be tested on Hikaru Gero, Mei Kinosaki, the Poison Clan, and the series’ wild central mission. It is also highly searchable because viewers often look for Marriagetoxin quiz, Hikaru Gero trivia, Mei Kinosaki quiz, and assassin romance anime questions. That unique mix of danger and matchmaking makes it ideal for high-quality trivia content.

A strong Marriagetoxin quiz should begin with the premise, because the entire series is built on the collision between assassination culture and marriage expectations. Hikaru Gero is an elite poison user from the Gero family, one of the five most powerful families in the world of master assassins. He has spent his life in the shadows, far from romance and marriage, until the clan’s leadership demands that he solve the succession issue by producing an heir. When the family threatens his younger sister’s future, Hikaru decides that he must find a spouse himself. That is when he meets Mei Kinosaki, a highly skilled marriage scammer who also happens to be his assassination target. The anime premiered on April 7, 2026, and is listed with 13 episodes. It is produced by Bones Film and streams on Crunchyroll. The cast includes Haruki Ishiya as Hikaru Gero, Shion Wakayama as Mei Kinosaki, Anna Nagase as Kyoko Himekawa, and Asaki Yuikawa as Shiori Ureshino, among others. The series is based on the Shonen Jump+ manga written by Joumyaku and illustrated by Mizuki Yoda. What makes Marriagetoxin especially good for trivia is the way it turns an absurd premise into a character-driven story with real emotional stakes. Hikaru is not simply trying to survive assassins; he is trying to protect his sister and take responsibility for his family’s future, which gives his mission a strong emotional center. Mei Kinosaki adds a completely different kind of energy because he is a marriage expert, a con artist, and a sharply intelligent guide through the series’ romantic and social chaos. Their partnership creates endless opportunities for trivia about identity, deception, relationships, and the contrast between the assassin world and the marriage market. Supporting characters like Kyoko Himekawa and Shiori Ureshino expand the story’s romantic and social dynamics, making the cast useful for detailed questions. The series also stands out because it was adapted by Bones Film, giving it a polished action-comedy presentation. Since the source manga is ongoing and already built a strong fanbase, quiz content can draw from character facts, premise details, and early adaptation points. A good quiz can ask about the Poison Clan, Hikaru’s power, Mei’s role, and the marriage mission at the heart of the plot. That combination of action, family drama, and romantic absurdity gives Marriagetoxin excellent potential as a memorable quiz subject.
